Primary Schools Cross Country
October 5th, 2009
On Monday 5th October over 1000 children arrived at Houghall College to run in a cross country race. This event was open to all primary school children, with KS1 children running 600m, Y3/4 running 750m and Y5/6 running 1000m.
Everyone was raring to go when they arrived, and teams were ready to cheer their school on to victory!
It was a big day for all runners, but especially the younger children who had a long way to run on young legs.

All of the youngsters were running for their school, with each school providing a total team score. This gave a winning school team in each event.
The top three runners in each race were also awarded a prize for their efforts.

A big congratulations to all of the runners who took part in the event. You all tried really hard!
A big thanks must also be given to the young leaders from St.Leonards School who helped out on the day.
