January 28th, 2013

On the 24th January it was the turn on Key Stage 4 to show off their badminton skills. With the format the same as KS3 competition, each team had four players, playing 5 matches against each of the other teams which were a mix of singles and doubles.

Two weeks previous Durham Johnston won both the boys and girls competition at KS3 level, could they do the same this time?

In the boys’ competition there were some tough matches, no team were going to make it easy they were all looking for the win. Durham Johnston A team were victorious with St. Leonard’s finishing second. The girls’ competition showcased some amazing talent; the St. Leonard’s girls won the competition in a truly amazing style, not losing a single game. This left Framwellgate and Durham Johnston to challenge for second place, which Durham Johnston only just claimed.

We would like to offer our congratulations to all that took part and a great thanks to the volunteers from Framwellgate and Durham Johnston for hosting.
