On 10th and 11th May around 1000 children from across Durham City visited Sherburn and Meadowfield Leisure Centres to take part in some outdoor and adventurous activities.

Children rotated around 7 activities, which revolved around the themes 'Working Together', 'Problem Solving' and 'Find It'

While working together children had to tackle a very tricky skiing activity as well as practice their communication skills while trying to direct the rest of their blind folded team!

When problem solving children had to fit together the pieces of a fairytale, and negociate their way through a hoop whilst the whole group was holding hands.

Finally, the children took part in an orienteering challenge, where they had to follow a map to find lots of hidden letters, and then unscramble the letters to find some animals.

All of the children had a fantastic day, mainly due to excellent leadership from our secondary school leaders during the activities.  Well done to all involved!
